I like working on products that have an impact in the real world. The current state of Machine Learning, Big Data and Software Engineering is more exciting than ever! Now is the time to make novel solutions that will change the way we lead our lives. I want to be a part of a team that changes lives and propels humanity towards an exciting future!
• Courses: Algorithms; ML; Big Data Architecture; Foundations of Software Engineering; NLP; Ethical Hacking; VR
• Planned Courses for the upcoming semesters: Neural Network and Deep Learning; Distributed Systems.
• Instructor for Data Structures (200 undergrad students) - Fall 2018
• Lead TA for the Department of CS (2018-2019)
• I am working with Dr. Orit Peleg to create a model of optimal navigation on varying surfaces by using reinforcement learning.
• The goal is to train an agent to reorient itself during the course of a random walk to simulate different agent behaviors in smooth and rough surfaces.
• The egocentric movement and the geocentric movement of the agent is being mapped with a reinforcement learning model.
• New parameters are being introduced to create a custom RL model that can emulate the behavior of the agent.
• Video Processing is being done by OpenCV. Tensorflow Backend is being used for the Reinforcement Learning model.
• The outcomes will be mapped to automatic vehicular navigation
• Teaching CSCI 2270: Data Structures(200 undergraduate students).
• I have 4 outstanding graduate TAs and 8 undergraduate CAs assisting me with this course.
• Encouraging analytical thinking among students is the primary goal.
• Students should be able to identify and implement the most efficient data structure(s) for a given problem after the completion of this course.
The Department of Computer Science at CU Boulder awarded me with the position of a Graduate Instructor because of the promise shown as a TA for the same course.
• Selected by the Department of CS to be the Lead TA among more than 300 Graduate students.
• All 120+ TAs of Computer Science are managed by the Lead TA.
• Designed a new induction system to ensure efficient induction of TAS.
• Proposed systems and curriculum to ensure high morale and performance among TAs.
• Designed a framework to enable predictive analytics in the upcoming communicator application.
• The framework can predict usage patterns based on the collected data.
• Working in partnership with Google to develop the first AI based communication framework.
• Internship duration extended to reward demonstrated impact.
Music has been my passion from a very tender age. I secured a Gold Medal nationally in the Bachelors of Music in Guitar. I was also the lead guitarist in my school and college bands. Starting a conversation with me is very easy. Let's talk about the music you like!
When I was young I travelled with my parents a lot. I love a break from the urban life, to escape off to Mother Nature's lap. From Himalayas to the Rockies I have seen a lot but I have a LOT more to experience! Needless to say pursuing a Graduate Degree in Boulder just a few miles from the Rocky Mountain National Park was a dream come true!
I have been involved in Debates, Extempores and other rhetorical activities from my early school days. I have represented my school and college in various international and national level competitions and won accolades for my instituitions. Some of the presitigious debates were Jefferson's Debate, The Frank Anthony Memorial All-India Inter-School Debate, MACFAIR International and others.
I believe in the quote by Swami Vivekananda, "A Sound Mind dwells in a Sound Body." I believe in working out regularly and love trekking! With my current vicinity to the Rockies I go on regular treks every other weekend. Also, lately I have discovered trekking is an unconventional yet amazing way to network with people!
Associated with the Rotaract Club of MSIT (Rotary International Organization) from 2014. Coronated as the President in the 3rd Installation Ceremony, Oriana on 24th July 2016. Rotaract Club of MSIT with its strength of 160+ members acquired the award for the Best Club in 2016-2017 among 55 clubs in the district for the first time in its nascent history. I have also chaired the ACM student chapter which had direct impacts in the increase of research projects in the department of Computer Science at Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology (UG School).
My school St. Joseph's College taught me a lot of integral lessons of life. One of them was, a balance of creativity, art and science leads to a complete life. I had taken up quite a few challenges in school but one of the most memorable moments was being an Executive Member in the Editorial Board. When the effort of a team finally yielded the fruits in the form of the annual edition of "Josevoayge", it was one of my earliest trysts with the wonderful feeling of team success.
